Tell us a little about your book. Agents of Change is best described as espionage with a twist; at its core, it is a surprise-laden action/suspense with sci-fi elements. The story’s protagonist, Calvin Newsome, is an amicable businessman in his 20s going through a quarter-life crisis. His life is turned upside-down when he’s recruited by [...]

Greg Gifune does not write for those who find psychological darkness an uncomfortable territory. Gardens of Night is a disturbing journey between reality and psychotic breaks, both of which become blurred the further you read.

Dressed for a Kill, Brian Bianco’s first novel, is a suspense / thriller with all the elements: a light read but complex storyline, fast pace, plot twists, and a slick cover. Yet while interesting and enjoyable in places, this is not as rewarding a read as it could be.

When I looked at the first chapter, before I got into the story, I was immediately impressed by a writing style which is highly descriptive and manages to express such atmosphere. This is what draws me into a story more than anything else. Deana, the protagonist and narrator, talks in a casual, natural manner, and (I feel) projects a somber sense of foreboding appropriate to her tale.

I was excited to get my copy of Altered Life, a detective thriller from Keith Dixon. He was nice enough to send me a copy all the way across the pond and I dove into it the same day it arrived. The description on the Lulu page hooked me: ‘Altered Life transplants the attitude and pace of the American private eye story into a contemporary English setting.’

At a time when there are more drivers on the road than ever, and with the rising costs of fuel and heavy usage of cell phones behind the wheel, a novel about road rage couldn’t have come at a better time. Although I don’t even own a cell phone, but have definitely spent at least a full paycheck or two this year in gas alone, I definitely suffer from road rage like many others.
