Mick Rooney stops by today on his virtual book blog tour to discuss self-publishing and his new book, The Memory of Trees. Welcome Mick!
Review 61: Filigree & Shadow by Mick Rooney
I first discovered Mick Rooney’s writing last year when I reviewed his book Academy. Mick, like me, keeps informed of the POD world and its regular developments, often covering very informative topics in his author blog which I have read religiously over the past year. Mick kept me posted on his next book, Filigree & Shadow, published last November, but I waited so that it could be one of the first books I devoted attention to this year.
LLBR Returns to the Academy with Mick Rooney
To start this month off, LLBR caught up with Mick Rooney, author of Academy which we reviewed earlier this year. Mick returned to Lulu this month with a new book, Filigree & Shadow. His author blog has always been a wealth of information covering not just his Lulu experiences, but also other news and events about other mainstream POD publishers.
Review 31: Academy by Mick Rooney
I first came across Mick Rooney’s blog earlier this year during the whole Amazon/Booksurge/POD mess. He, like many of us, was deep in the story with news and updates, writing and watching a small part POD history as it happened. It seems, today, that story is history indeed but Mick’s blog was one of the few that I kept up with after that whole charade. Recently, he held a poll to find out which POD Publisher his readers preferred. He took the top four results and outlined their pros and cons.
