The Arrival of K2

The Arrival of K2

By LK Gardner-Griffie on June 10, 2009

Yesterday afternoon I had an appointment I couldn’t miss, so I left my husband on the front porch with a book to wait for the UPS delivery truck. Before you think I’m unjustifiably cruel, let me tell you about the UPS deliveries in our neighborhood.

Soon to be Kindling

Soon to be Kindling

By LK Gardner-Griffie on June 9, 2009

I am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my very own Kindle 2. This is something I have wanted to own since I first saw the promotions on Amazon.com prior to the release of the original Kindle.

The POD Diary: The Kindle DTP Dilema

The POD Diary: The Kindle DTP Dilema

By Shannon Yarbrough on June 6, 2009

Like many of you, I’ve been patiently waiting to receive my March royalties I earned from Kindle sales. March proved to be one of the biggest months for authors as far as earnings are concerned due to the release of the Kindle 2. For those who may have missed this bit of information from my previous posts and are wondering why I said March, Amazon.com pays you 60 days after the end of a month, which is why we are just now getting paid our March royalties.

With Amazon.com launching its Kindle DX last week, it seems E-reading isn’t going away anytime soon. It’s only going to get bigger and better.

Kindle 2 is here!

Kindle 2 is here!

By Shannon Yarbrough on February 24, 2009

Today marks a day on the E-Calendar that many of us have been talking about the past year. It quite literally snuck up on us overnight, but the Kindle 2 is here and became available today. With 37 reviews already (the majority posted yesterday), it’s averaging 3.5 stars with a mixture of emotions all across the board. 17 reviews give it 5 stars, 11 are stuck in the middle, and 9 give it only 1 star.

Review Extra: Stealing Wishes by Shannon Yarbrough

Review Extra: Stealing Wishes by Shannon Yarbrough

By LK Gardner-Griffie on September 22, 2008

Most of us have things in our lives that we can obsess on. In fact, ask any teenage girl and she’ll immediately tell you that her nose it too big or too small, she has too many freckles or not enough, that her eyebrows are too thin or too bushy; the possible list is endless. We can spend hours agonizing and obsessing over features that the rest of the world doesn’t even notice.
