I'm respectfully requesting a book review. I can send e-book or print format.

Author: Kenya Wright
Title: Fire Baptized
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Release date: Feb 20, 2012

Book Summary:
Since the 1970s humans have forced supernaturals to live in caged cities. Silver brands embedded in their foreheads identify them by species: a full moon for Vampires, a crescent moon for Shifters, a pair of wings for Fairies, and the list goes on, for each supernatural species has been tagged and categorized by humans.
Lanore Vesta is marked with a silver X, the brand of Mixbreeds, second-class citizens shunned by society. She stays to herself, revealing her ability to create fire only during emergencies. All she wants to do is graduate college and stop having to steal to survive. But when she stumbles upon a murder in progress, she catches the attention of a supernatural killer. Now all she wants is to stop finding dead bodies in her apartment.
Enlisting help from her Were-cheetah ex-boyfriend Meshach and a new mysterious friend named Zulu, she is steered through the habitat’s raunchy nightlife. But their presence sometimes proves to be more burden than help, as they fight for her attention.
While the corpses pile up, and the scent of blood fills the air, Lanore is left wondering: will she find the psycho or die trying?

The book cover, book blurb, author's bio, and chapter one sample are all available on my author's website www.kenyawright.com. The book is also listed on goodreads http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13272713-fire-baptized.

Better Off Dead, by Matthew Rowe
Published by Lulu.com
http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/better-off-dead/18755558

I have just released my second book and it's my first novel. You were very kind to review my first book, a collection of fantasy and horror short stories called 'Not All Of Them About Zombies'. So I would like it very much if you could make time for my novel.

It's called 'Better Off Dead', and it's an YA urban fantasy comedy in a world where sorcerers are saucy, vampires are a pain in the neck and everyone is clawing to be on top.

The city of Londinium is in a period of civil unrest, but it’s not because the tube is always late, or because people are tired of zombies shedding limbs in public, nor is it because the humans are tired of trying to eke out a living only to meet a messy end in a dark alley. An unknown vampire has proclaimed himself ruler, and if there is one thing the people, both living and dead, hate more than a tyrannical ruler, it’s a secretive one. One young vampire is charged with discovering the prince’s identity. The only problem: he doesn’t want to. Ramses, the world’s first genuine cat burglar, is far more concerned with eliminating the threat posed by the feline race rather than that of some pesky vampire lord, a dragon and civil war. Can this undead slacker learn to grow up at last, foil this mysterious plot and halt the biggest supernatural conflict in history or will he need help from his mummy?

My influences are the likes of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett, but the style is all my own. This is the first in the trilogy and the beginning of my writing career. I would like your help in getting me started.

Thank you for your time,

Matt

Hi,

I’ve just published my e-book Promise Me Eternity in the USA (Amazon, Smashwords). All of my books have been a huge success in Slovenia (EU). I’ve published three crime (mystery) novels that have sold very well and been ranked among the top 100 most borrowed library books. I am currently working on a fourth and fifth. Enthusiastic readers write to me, saying they can’t put my books down and read them in a few days. The first two novels are set in the United States; the third takes place in Britain. Individual libraries have ranked my books among the top ten, sometimes even the top five most-borrowed books.

I would be very grateful if you read my book and published a review on your website.

A few facts about me: I was born in Slovenia (EU), but have also lived in the USA, France and Germany. I'm fluent in English, French and German. Because of my extensive international experience, my books are set in the USA or Europe. I’m 41 years old.

Even as a child I missed interesting and thrilling books for which I’d be ready to give up sleep if necessary. Libraries were chockablock full of books, but finding a truly interesting book was like finding a needle in a haystack. I was particularly annoyed by books in which you had to read 50 pages before anything happened.
I wanted to write a novel that draws you in from the very start and is so interesting that it has to be read in a couple of days.

A short summary of the book Promise Me Eternity:

Mystery/ Crime

Word Count: 117.000
ISBN Smashwords 978-1-4580-9984-6
ASIN Amazon: B004KA9JDK

Dr. Simon Patterson is a successful and well-respected neurosurgeon at Central Hospital in the town of Medford. Married, though without children, he keeps himself so busy that one day is not much different from another. Until, that is, he saves the life of the powerful mobster Carlo Vucci. At a dinner in honor of Dr. Patterson, Carlo Vucci introduces him to his alluring wife Christine. Simon is entranced by her beauty. Three weeks later, Christine shows up at the hospital, complaining of terrible headaches. Dr. Patterson offers to help her, but Christine did not come to see him just because of her health. A series of shocking events follows that transforms Simon’s life into a nightmare. Among other things, he finds himself in court being accused of first degree murder…

What's an intelligent teenager do upon deciding to leave home? Deirdre's answer is to wander the world, living on wits, wiles and will power. But it's not as easy as that!

'Deirdre, the Wanderer; A modern picaresque.'
by Jonnie Comet.

Deirdre's made up her mind- there can be no living where there is no love. But it's winter in Connecticut. And- '...you always hear these stories of stupid runaways who get picked up freezing to death on the streets of Manhattan or whatever. I'm sorry, but being homeless in a place like New York is just stupid. At least I had a plan.'

And what a plan!

As in days gone by, the 15-year-old full of romantic daydreams and resolved on self-determination will hitch a ride to the southern seas. Soon she learns it's not all plain sailing amidst the tropical trades. In fact it's more like danger and humiliation, living and working as an underage runaway and illegal alien on her own. Was it ever supposed to be this weird?

Enduring abuse, loneliness and the fear of being sent back to a place she can no longer consider home, the indefatigable heroine must grow to womanhood with only her wits to guide her. Or die trying.

'It is nought but the fear of woman's heart, And a dream of the night, Deirdre.'
(Celtic faery-tale).
--from the Amazon page.

'One of those books that makes you say "Wow".'
'It made me want to run away-- just for a little while.'
'A very good book to read at the beach.'
--from online reviews (1st edition of 2009)

Do consider this unique work by a multifaceted author ('unique' here having its correct and most powerful meaning of 'one of a kind', 'like no other'). This is not a book to fit narrowly-defined cubbyholes but is truly unlike anything else out there-- written by a 'romantic purist', strict grammarian, ardent Anglophile and educator-cum-'student advocate', it excels in all counts of adventure, suspense, romantic drama and authenticity.

Author: Christopher Slater
Title: Trapped in Shades of Grey
Publisher: KDP/Createspace
Genre: Historical/Espionage/War
Length: 79,000 words/251 pages paperback
Teaser: During the trying days of World War II, everyone was called upon to do their patriotic duty. But what if that duty required you to live, eat, sleep, and fight alongside the enemy? Christoph Ernst, the son of German immigrants, is recruited to become a deep cover agent in the German Wermacht. He excels at his assignment as a soldier and a spy. As the war in Europe heats up, he realizes that he has made a huge error- he has made friends and become a part of the army that he is helping to destroy. When the time comes, he is uncertain if he will betray his country or his friends. When treachery is your mission, where do your loyalties lie?

"Trapped in Shades of Grey" is unique in that while the action keeps the story going, it is the characters that will keep you reading. The excitement and torment of the Second World War simply highlights the intrigue and personal torment of the main character and those he is both trying to deceive and those he thinks he can trust.

Preview is available on the sales pages:

“Trapped in Shades of Grey” is unique in that while the action keeps the story going, it is the characters that will keep you reading. The excitement and torment of the Second World War simply highlights the intrigue and personal torment of the main character and those he is both trying to deceive and those he thinks he can trust.

Please consider reviewing my book. If someone in your group is interested, I will supply a trade paperback or an ebook in Kindle or other format.

Butterfly Powder and the Mountains of Iowa - an adventure book for those who enjoy action, strong characters, wry humor, a real plot, and a touch of romance.

Gilbert Perles is an 1960s rural teen plagued by eccentric parents, an overly active imagination, and endless bad luck. He is content to be a slacker until he makes an enemy of his popular athletic cousin and uncovers a land conspiracy threatening his family. Gilbert is forced to fight or face losing his girl, his family's farm, and his friends. His backfiring schemes--collapsing a barn, confronting an oncoming train in a track-riding auto, planting incriminating evidence atop a water tower, and dumping a truckload of sewage in a well--condition him to survive failure. But when he encounters his rival three years later in chaotic Vietnam, failure is no longer an option.

PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES: A pretty girl's ugly story told in borrowed voices

Sparked by a break-up with her married lover, Justine trades in college for the underbelly of international cities, and descends into a destructive reinvention.

Acutely aware that she’s not the first girl to experience these formative misadventures, Justine hijacks the vocal chords of archetypal characters from myths, fairy tales, literature, and pop culture, such as Medusa, Rapunzel, and Catherine (of Brontë's Wuthering Heights). She echoes the voices that display her story—the violent exit from girlhood via a botched love life—better than her own.

PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES is a dark and stylized examination of the vicious things we do in the name of self-preservation, and questions the frantic necessity to tell our stories to establish human connection—however ugly they may be.

Superman Had a Handgun
Paperback and eBook
Published by Lulu.com

Synopsis: Two friends who are struggling with an addiction to killing people meet with another man with a similar problem. Together, they plan to move to a small town called PrivacyVille, where no one is allowed to talk to or even look at one another. They feel this is the only way to beat their inner demons. But every small town has it's secrets. Will they remain heartless killers? Or find some good use for those demons after all?

Why pick this book: Honestly? I have no idea. It's not like any boring book you'll find out there about, "Suzie Q and her love, Brett, who move to the mountains in search of greater things" or whatever. It's hopefully entertaining, and no where in the area of traditional book writing. You'll probably hate it, and if you do, then you probably like Suzie Q and her mountain lover, Brett. Which is completely understandable.
