Hello,

I have a humorous mystery novel available entitled A Will to Murder.
Wealthy and eccentric patriarch James Boyle dies a bizarre death, and
his relatives, many of them as peculiar as himself, gather for the
reading of his will--only to begin dying themselves. Only when
long-lost Boyle scion Bradley Smith appears, along with his friend
reporter Eric Maxwell, do the mysterious deaths finally receive a
proper investigation.

If you would be interested in reviewing it, I can send you a copy in

<description>I hoped you would review my novel, Secrets of the Apple, which will be officially released June 15th, though the ebook is available now.

“Exceptional” –Kirkus Starred Review
“A captivating love story” –Lisa Oliver Monroe, Kirkus Magazine

Back Cover

“When the door shut behind Kate, some invisible detail changed in the room, maybe something to do with the air pressure, or possibly the temperature. Gradually minor noises took on a strange magnification, like the grinding tikka tikka of the antique clock on the credenza and the splatter of raindrops against the windows as the long drizzle finally turned ardent. He felt a chill in his arms and rose to put the clock in a drawer, wondering how he could have occupied this room for two weeks without consciously noting such an irritating sound. Back at his desk, he picked up a pen, reminding himself how rejuvenating it was to work in solitude, free to swear all he wanted. He put the pen down, remembering he didn’t need it. He sat back in his chair. The office felt dead.”

Ryoki is comfortable is his custom-built hell, making money with both hands and slashing his path through the world of men. But there’s something about Kate, something important dangling just at the edge of his consciousness. She can’t read a map, she falls off her heels, and yet she saves his life with a button and a bit of thread. Terrified she’s privately plotting to marry him, he studies her with hooded eyes, attempting to discover her secrets for himself. But understanding Kate will challenge everything he thought he knew.

Why exactly did Eve hand over her apple?

In the middle of the night, Thelma Hardy gets a 10 second call from her father: her mother’s dead. She must fly to Palm Beach. The company jet is waiting.
Thelma has little time for sorrow. The stock of Wise Woman Inc. is plummeting, and the eyes of the financial world are watching and waiting. Her father has appointed a male CEO, Steve, breaking with the firm’s tradition of female leadership and enraging the members of the board.
To make matters worse, Thelma’s best friend Lauren manages to miss the funeral, and her longtime friend Cindy decides this is a good time to confess her love for her.
Lauren, an MIT computer wizard, has in fact been there all along. Hours after her mother’s death, there is a mysterious hacking of the company’s firewall. The source is untraceable and the timing dangerous. The firm’s main rival is suspect, and Lauren has come to help identify the attacker.
As Thelma becomes more involved in the business, she finds hints that her father and Steve may be part of a scheme to rob her of her inheritance, and that her mother may not have died of natural causes. Steve realizes Thelma is onto more than he expected and has her followed.
When Thelma mistakenly kills an innocent man, jeopardizing the firms future, Steve decides to take care of the cover-up, and of Thelma as well: he sends her to oversee some factories in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, from where she is not meant to return. She tricks her way out of the trap and returns to Palm Beach, determined to discover the truth about her mother’s death and save her legacy.
With her wits, which many think she is losing, as her only guide, Thelma ventures into a maze of dark family lies and financial intrigue. As she searches for a way out, she will revisit her mother’s struggle for empowerment, transform her idle socialite toys into weapons, and take ownership of her life.

HUNTING FOR SPARROWS is a fast-paced thriller where the character’s self-discovery is as important as discovering who did it, or the nature of the crime. The novel poses controversial questions about gender roles and discrimination, women’s sexuality, the role of women in corporate America, and intra-family power relationships.

What others are saying:
Hunting For Sparrows takes the reader inside the mind of a woman hell-bent on revenging the death of her multi-millionaire mother.
In a book filled with twists and turns, the final twist that reveals the mysterious puppet master who may have had their hands on all the puppets&#039; strings was masterful.

About the author:
Beatrice Gerard (pen name) has taught Elizabethan and Modern English Literature, and published in numerous academic journals. A large part of her academic work and her writing have focused on women&#039;s issues.
She&#039;s the author of an award-wining collection of short stories to be published soon

Thanks!

<description>Can a ghost haunt more than your home? Can a Bigfoot track more than footprints?

Aubrey Taylor’s cozy life in the subdued, Appalachian town of Lake Julian had never been exceptional. Shouldered by his lifelong friends, Buzz Reiselstein and Rodriqa Auerbach, he quietly endured the thrashings of a persistent pack of pesky bullies, which included the most-feared kid in school, Magnos Strumgarten, and his own obnoxiously, well-accomplished brother, Gaetan. Comfortable in his humdrum niche of the absolutely average, Aubrey never pushed back…

…until fate dug a little too deep, and the unseen darkness of unspoken places stole his mediocrity.

When spurious specters and elusive mountain men battle for a tomb of Watchers, buried in ages past, only those who choose to search beyond the surface feel the grip of the ancients’ revenge. Unusual disappearances, a colorful cadre of insightful townsfolk and a whirlwind of blunders and mishaps exposes the struggling forces that transform Aubrey and his friends into more than spectators amidst the oldest war of all.

My first novel, The Last Seer and the Tomb of Enoch, is an 180,000-word adventure blend of science fiction and spiritual fantasy, which explores the stifling angst and carefree joy of adolescence in a world torn between tradition and the post-modern march of progress.

Currently available through Dog Ear Publishing, this book is self-published with a publication date of June 24, 2011. I do not have a publicist or an agent, and I have been coordinating my novel’s marketing to this point. I am excited for those with experience to read it and provide criticism, even if it’s pointed or harsh, as that will help me grow as a writer.

I would like to submit my novel for consideration for review. I look forward to hearing from you. If there is other information you need, please do not hesitate to contact me. Also, you can find more information about me and my novel at www.hoaker-croaker.com. Thank you very much for consideration.

<description>What child hasn’t fantasized about sneaking out of their parent’s house after lights-out and embarking on an adventure or two? Now, what if there’s a bright red crocodile, with a belt full of magic gizmos, who shows up and takes kids out on adventures after bedtime? Well, THERE IS!

Author Sands Hetherington has created a singular and unforgettable children&#039;s tale in Night Buddies and the Pineapple Cheesecake Scare, a delightfully zany story full of antics, excitement, and adventure that young readers (ages 7 and up) won’t want to miss.

The two main characters are a young boy named John Degraffenreidt (with no middle name) who is not ready to go to sleep, and a crocodile named Crosley who turns up under John’s bed. This unlikely pair sneaks out of John’s house using Crosley’s I-ain’t-here doodad, which makes them invisible to John’s parents. They embark on their Program, the Night Buddies word for Adventure, and make their way around the Borough chasing down enemies and dealing with the perils at hand. The Program for tonight is to find out why all of the pineapple cheesecakes in the world’s only pineapple cheesecake factory are disappearing.

This e-mail is to ask about your interest in being a host for the author’s blog book tour. We have scheduled the tour to take place from June 4 to June 29, 2012. We’d like to do a mix of interviews and blog posts. And we would be more than happy to send out a review copy to you without delay. Simply reply to this email and request one, and include a postal address.

If you’re interested in doing an interview, please send along 8 to 10 questions and the date you prefer. If you’d rather have the author write a guest post for your blog, that’s great, too.

We can also provide you with an image of the book’s front cover, a photo of the author, as well as a banner that you can place on your blog, indicating you are part of the tour. Interested in a giveaway? Just let us know and we’ll try hard to accommodate you. You probably have your own ideas, as well, and we’d love to discuss the many possibilities.

We’ll be announcing the author’s blog tour on Twitter, Facebook, the Night Buddies website and through a number of other social media networks.

Sands Hetherington and his young son John developed the Crosley character over months of bedtime story give-and-take. Night Buddies and the Pineapple Cheesecake Scare (Dune Buggy Press, June 1, 2012) is the first book in the Night Buddies series. Sands is a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. He majored in history at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and has an M.F.A. in creative writing and an M.A. in English from UNC-Greensboro.

For more on Sands Hetherington and the Night Buddies series, please visit www.nightbuddiesadventures.com

Once again, thank you for taking the time to consider our invitation. I look forward to a response.

All Best,
Gail</description>

Looking for Sarah: A story of Survival
by M.G. Silver

Synopsis:
In the darkest days of pogroms, a family flees the Pale of Settlement in search of a better life in Argentina. Amid the chaos of the WWI, one of the daughters, Sarah, misses the train. Left alone in war-torn Russia, Sarah survives the political maelstrom of the Revolution, the vicious cycle of Stalin’s purges, the Holocaust of the Great Patriotic War, and the aftermath of the Soviet victory. Through the pain, bloodshed, violence, and humiliation, Sarah never gives up the hope of seeing her family again, and when the opportunity presents itself, she makes a difficult decision to defect.

Years later that decision has a profound effect on her great-granddaughter Sonya’s life. Sonya comes of age amidst the Soviet anti-Semitism of the 1970s and 1980s, and the intricate details of her childhood and adolescence provide a never-before-seen window into the world of Jewish upbringing of that era. For years Sonya dreams of being accepted among her non-Jewish peers, but when those dreams are shattered by the KGB’s revelation of Sarah’s choice, Sonya has to make her own choice. She must choose between the road taken by her great-grandmother and the road that will save her love.

		<description>The Warden Threat
by DL Morrese
Genre: Science Fiction (Parody of epic fantasy adventure)

Technically science fiction, The Warden Threat is the first volume of an almost anti-fantasy, which pokes a fair, or perhaps an unfair amount of good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. Because the central plot of Warden novels was loosely inspired by the U.S. buildup to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, they include elements of political and cultural satire as well. With their charming and truly likeable characters, witty, intelligent humor, and prose style blending humorous science fiction and epic fantasy elements, they are a fun read. I believe they will appeal to readers of these genres who may be looking for something fresh and different.

Prince Donald, the idealistic third son of the king of Westgrove, believes he may be the only one able to protect his country from an invasion spearheaded by an ancient and massive magical stone warrior known as the Warden of Mystic Defiance. Donald, unfortunately, is woefully unprepared. His only real understanding of such things comes from his reading of adventure stories. When he finds an ancient scroll he believes may allow him to take control of the mysterious Warden, he eagerly takes on the task. He dreams of saving the kingdom and becoming a hero like those in his epic adventure stories. To his dismay, his quest turns out to be nothing like he imagined. He finds the stories in his library seriously understate the complexities and hardships involved. He also soon realizes that the real world can be much more confusing than fictional ones, and the hero is not necessarily predestined to save the day.

		<description>The Ripple Effect
by
Ken Coleman

Asks one of the most controversial and important questions of our time. What do we do with a child that commits murder?

A cold blooded murder is committed in a sleepy, quiet, North Carolina town. The Ripple Effect explains, the character of a man is not in the way he acts. It’s in the way he reacts, even more so, the way he reacts to tragedy. Because, in one moment in time, through controversy and the court of public opinion, everything can change.

The story explores the relationship of a solid, Godly family that breaks, as well as a broken family that find their way back together. Sterling Sharpe, the suave and handsome defense attorney, uses the event to rekindle past relationships, while the urban and gritty talk show host Great Dane, uses the controversy to gain national popularity. The riveting tale is not so much about true crime, as much as it is real life.
