    Absolutely on the money. I just published my first book through CreateSpace simply because I have a day job and did not want to go through the mindless process (and total crapshoot) of traditional publishing. I think the one thing that you did not mention is that traditional publishing is somewhat on the ropes. This is most apparent in the newspaper industry, but Amazon and other online sellers make it unnecessary to go the traditional route. I think this will only accelerate if the iPad is successful.

    By the way, your comment about getting professional help is especially dead on.
