September 5th: Another 5 copies in sales were reported to me today in my Lulu Revenue summary. That’s another $3.35 in profit for me.
Total money invested on this project to date (after book sales only): $593.82
Total money invested on this project after all sales and services: $285.90
September 6th: Here is a picture of the final marketing kit with all components. I mailed out one last week and I am sending another out this week. It only costs $4.85 to ship it parcel post. I am also only sending these to indie bookstores, and I am debating on sending one to a coffee shop since the book’s setting is a cafe.
STEALING WISHES also received its first B&N review today along with a simultaneous post of the review on Amazon.com and on PODBRAM. I noticed sales are also up through Amazon as my sales rank has climbed a bit, or could this be indicative of the review being posted and not of actual sales? Interesting…let’s hope it’s actual sales.
A friend of mine contacted me via email today to let me know he purchased a copy of STEALING WISHES direct from Amazon yesterday, the 5th. He received a confirmation email today, the 6th, from Amazon letting him know it shipped and that he should receive it around the 10th. I will be out of town next weekend and will have access to seeing his copy. With such quick processing and shipping of his order, obviously being fulfilled through Amazon’s Booksurge, it will be interesting to see and compare the quality of his copy to the copies I have received through Lulu. I will definitely post my findings here then.
